Join us veterinarians!

A very important component of any animal alliance is having well-trained animal care professionals available for questions and assistance.

The Oklahoma Alliance for Animals needs area veterinarians to join in order to be successful. Member veterinarians can spend as much or as little time assisting the Alliance and its programs. Like all members of the Alliance, there is no fee for veterinarians to join.

Member veterinarians are asked to donate whatever time and expertise that they can, and there is no minimum requirement. However, it is requested that member veterinarians attend at least two events or regular meetings during the calendar year to keep in touch with Alliance activities.

Veterinarians are needed for several reasons:

  • Perform advisory roles for the care of animals in the care of member rescue groups
  • Assist in the development of public educational programs
  • Assist with spay / neuter and vaccination clinics (compensated time)
  • Accept coupons for low-income families to have their animals spayed / neutered at a reduced rate

How Veterinarians Benefit

In addition to the personal satisfaction of helping a good cause, member veterinarians receive a wealth of free publicity. Member veterinarians are:

  • Listed on the Alliance website
  • Recognized in any event programs or flyers for which they contribute time or resources
  • Receive referrals from the network of Alliance volunteers
