Join us rescue groups!

The Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is open to all animal rescue groups who actively rescue and adopt animals within the Tulsa metropolitan area. These groups must be registered 501(c)3 non-profit organizations.

Terms of Membership Animal rescue groups wishing to join the Alliance are required to agree to the Terms and Conditions for Joining the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals. These terms cover basic operational procedures and standards of behavior for members. Sample terms include minimum adoption standards, event participation guidelines, and minimum animal care standards. In addition, member organizations agree to the process for the distribution of Alliance funds and dispute resolution.

Benefits of Membership There are many benefits to joining the Alliance. First and foremost, Alliance members participate in adoption events and low-cost spay/neuter initiatives which directly benefit the animals. Quarterly Town Hall meetings will be held with all Alliance members to exchange ideas and voice concerns. The Alliance also provides a channel for communicating between and among the more than forty rescue groups in the Tulsa area. The forum of discussion lends power to the concerns and issues these groups face in their daily operation and creates a network for pooling resources.

In addition, member groups will benefit from new financing opportunities for their programs. The Alliance will apply for grants specific to member programs and special projects. In addition, a percentage of monies raised at Alliance fundraisers are distributed to member organizations on both an as-needed basis and based on adoption-related statistics.
