It's Hip to Snip

It’s Hip to Snip

In partnership with Spay Oklahoma, "It’s Hip to Snip!" is offered to recognize and expand on the national Spay Day initiative - turning a one-day event into a month-long promotion. Spay Day identifies spay/neuter as part of the long-term solution to pet overpopulation.


Adopt a Little Okie

Last Saturday of Every Month ~ Adopt a Little Okie

Adopt a Little Okie is held at the Tulsa Animal Shelter the last Saturday of every month from noon until 4 p.m. The event supports our shelter partners and helps so many homeless pets find new homes. Volunteers needed.


Tag Day

Tag Day

"Tag Day" is a public awareness campaign in an effort to emphasize the importance of an ID tag for ensuring lost animals have a voice. It is their only ticket home. The OAA encourages all pet guardians to tag or microchip their pets. This year's event issued 340 ID tags. Now 340 pets will find their way home.

Rock and Rescue

This was a new event for OAA. The Riverwalk in Jenks hosted an adoption and animal social event. There was music (live bands), food, pet photography, $20 Microchipping, and wonderful pets to adopt.


Woofstock

September 6 ~ Woofstock

Join us at our largest adoption event, Woofstock! This event brings all of Tulsa's rescue organizations and animal related organizations together at one time. The event will take place at Veterans Park from 10:00AM until 2:00pm. Please mark this date on your calendar..


Brush Creek Bazaar

October 9-12 ~ Brush Creek Bazaar - Rescue Fair

The Brush Creek Bazaar benefits the Brush Creek Youth Ranch in Jay, Oklahoma and the Teen Challenge of Oklahoma. OAA participates in this festival. More information soon.


Fur Ball Gala 2007

November 7 ~ Fur Ball Gala

We are in the process of planning our largest fundraising event, 'Fur Ball'. Oklahoma Alliance for Animals relies on this event to raise enough funds to support our mission for the following year. If you are interested in being on the 2008 Fur Ball committee, please sign up. Volunteers needed.

Listed below are the goals for this year's fundraising. If you are an individual or corporation that would like to sponsor one of these activities, please contact us at 918-742-3700.

$10,000 Education & Advocacy for Animal Welfare Issues (need two)

.$5,000 for Spay/Neuter clinics (need two)

.$2,500 for Animal Cruelty Awareness/Training (need four)

.$1,000 for Animal Cruelty Responses (need ten)

...$500 for Tag Day and Adopt a Little Okie sponsors (need six)

...$100 Action for Compassion Awards (need ten)
