The results are in! We have confirmed all the adoptions that took place either at Woofstock or as a direct result of the event. Forty-three homeless pets found new “furever” homes. By all accounts, this was the largest crowd ever at an OAA adoption event and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to 92.9 BOB FM and 106.9 KHits who have partnered with us each year on this event.
We also want to thank Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists, our presenting sponsor, as well as Marina Animal Clinic and Banfield the Pet Hospital, for supporting us and making the event possible. Riverwalk Crossing was a great location for Woofstock and we appreciate them letting us use the area. News on 6 helped us get the word out with their fantastic promotions which ran the week of the event. Thanks also to the all the pet related businesses who were on hand to help pet lovers that attended the event. Last but not least, thanks to all the wonderful rescue and non-profit partners who worked tirelessly to find the animals in their care new homes and to the families that adopted them.
In addition to pet adoptions, the OAA team micro chipped 88 animals so that they will be able to find their way back home if they ever become lost, Tulsans became a bit more educated on the issues of pet overpopulation and lots of people had an enjoyable day with their pets.
